reconfigured emergence<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>

not oblivious to othering
i
became
undone<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the soft voice within said
breathe dahlin\u2019 breathe<\/p>\n\n\n\n

i paused
noticing the holding of my breath
then exhaled
deeply<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a letting go of lifetimes
of held breath and tongue<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and within this release
came relief<\/p>\n\n\n\n

an expansion of being
in connection
and care
with the ancients
and cosmic spheres<\/p>\n\n\n\n

now play sweet thang
play
so i grabbed the device
to explore and create<\/p>\n\n\n\n

reassembling
from the outside in<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and it was here for me to see
the sacred shapes revealed
within the skin
the hair
the eyes and mouth<\/p>\n\n\n\n

power and poise
potentiality and persistence
peace and purpose
beyond linear time
and space<\/p>\n\n\n\n

my spirit unearthed
a new me birthed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a reconfigured emergence<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

between these hands<\/strong><\/h2>
by althea knight<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

memory
matter
movement<\/p>\n\n\n\n

what has been given
what has been gathered
what is still becoming<\/p>\n\n\n\n

between these hands<\/p>\n\n\n\n

something shifts
something remembered
something imagined<\/p>\n\n\n\n

something not yet known
finds its way through<\/p>\n\n\n\n

i make
and in making
something makes me<\/p>\n\n\n\n

something i did not know i was carrying
something i did not know i was waiting for
takes form<\/p>\n\n\n\n

what was
meets
what might be<\/p>\n\n\n\n

between these hands<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

come closer to what you asked for<\/strong><\/h2>

for the ones who have learned
how to be a place others land<\/p>\n\n\n\n

being needed
is not the same as
being known<\/p>\n\n\n\n

now
you circle
round and round
for a place to fold your wings
and lay your head<\/p>\n\n\n\n

you will be fine
you got this
you are strong
you always figure it out
the familiar chorus chimes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

true
all of this
and still
the weight of it
is a lot<\/p>\n\n\n\n

let it rest for a moment
the ancestors whisper<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in arms
that remember how to hold
without asking anything of you<\/p>\n\n\n\n

here
there is no need to explain
no need to
prove<\/p>\n\n\n\n

you have done enough already<\/p>\n\n\n\n

nothing taken
nothing demanded
